Henry - Quiet Life Wanted
Age: 2 years
Location: Faversham, Kent
We are looking for a quiet home that is happy to foster with a view to adopt for Henry (shelter name Komina) Who is around 10 Kg and is of mixed breed heritage.
Please read through his bio thoroughly and only apply if you not only fit his bio but are willing and able to put in the time that Henry needs for training and to work on all his current limitations.
We are looking for an experienced dog owner (adult only home with no visiting children) which has at least one confident resident dog already in the home. Homes with inexperienced owners, less confident dogs, cats or children should not apply.
Henry is quite an anxious little boy that can be reactive (not agressive) when on lead, barking at other dogs and people. When Henry barks at other passers-by and his handlers resident dog comes back to walk by their side Henry can redirect the barking towards the resident dog so any new dog in his life must be able to cope with that. We believe with the right home this behaviour will decrease in time.
CATS: No cats.
Ideally, we are looking for a life in the countryside (certainly not a city or town) for Henry where he would come by little or no people and when he does there is plenty of space for his new family to divert the walk into another direction, eventually working up to a life off lead where he won’t feel stressed and lead a happy life that he deserves.
In a quiet home Henry is pretty settled but can bark at loud bangs/noises at times. He’s looking for that special person that is willing to put the training & effort in to give him his forever home.
The home must be more than be willing to set boundaries, not letting him get on peoples laps or on the sofa for the first few weeks, he is not allowed to take ownership of his new humans as this would be detrimental to his progress.
He is neutered, chipped, flea, wormed and fully vaccinated. We adopt our dogs to an area in England within a 3-hour drive of Cobham in Surrey. If the home has a garden, it must be secure and have at least 6 ft boundaries.
If you feel you can offer the right home and you match Henry’s criteria, please complete our pre adoption form here: https://serbias-forgotten-paws.com/enquiry and press SEND.
Home check and £400 adoption fee applies plus £25 for the safety harness that we insist all of our dogs are walked on until absolutely settled in their new home.
All of our dogs come with a pet passport, are vet checked before departing and arrive via a DEFRA registered transportation vehicle.
Serbia’s forgotten paws has been operating for over 10 years and has rehomed over 1,200 in the UK. We offer full support and rescue back up (RBU) for the lifetime of all of our dogs.
