Lotus (Tizzy)

Age: 2 years

Gender: Female

Size: Medium

Location: Wokingham Berkshire

HISTORY: Lotus was round by a canal when she was a tiny pup by the city pound staff, she lived in at the pound for some months before we were able to move her to our shelter before finally having space to be moved into one of our Serbian foster homes once we had room.

IDEAL HOME: A small family unit, whether that be a single or couple of adults. We would like her to go to a home where there are not a lot of visitors and comings and goings. Someone around for most of the day in those early weeks so that bonding is made easier would be ideal. Due to her initial shy nature we feel no children enviroment would be more suited to her wellbeing. We would be looking for a home that is willing to continue with her training.

OTHER DOGS: Ideally a home with a resident dog already in the home OR a home that is willing to give her the time it will take for her to get used to everything in and out of the home.

CATS: She hasn't shown any negativity towards cats. With slow introductions we feel this wouldn’t be a problem for her.

HEALTH: Lotus had a health check before leaving Serbia. She comes in at around 16 Kg. She is fully vaccinated, microchipped, flea, wormed and neutered.

FOSTER: Lotus is in foster in the Wokingham Berkshire area.

A few words from her UK foster family
“Lotus who we renamed Tizzy is a lovely girl who loves fuss and would enjoy having a home who could devote more cuddles for her. She wants a lot of love and affection she just wants to please. She was very shy with us in the first instance, but as the days and weeks have passed she has come on leaps and bounds. She sits for her food, "asks" if she needs to go outside to the toilet, sleeps in our bedroom in her crate without a problem. She loves running and playing in the garden. She travels well in the car and walks on lead."

CRITERIA: We adopt our dogs to an area in England within a 3-hour drive of Cobham in Surrey. If the home has a garden, it must be secure and have at least 6 ft boundaries.

If you feel you can offer the right home and you match our criteria, please complete our pre adoption form here: https://serbias-forgotten-paws.com/enquiry and press SEND.

Home check and £400 adoption fee applies plus £25 for the safety harness that we insist all of our dogs are walked on until absolutely settled in their new home.

All of our dogs come with a pet passport, are vet checked before departing and arrive via a DEFRA registered transportation vehicle.

Serbia’s forgotten paws has been operating for over 10 years and has rehomed over 1,200 in the UK.

We offer full support and rescue back up (RBU) for the lifetime of all of our dogs.
